Dr. Deep Goel is a gold medalist and alumnus of the prestigious Kasturba Gandhi Medical College, Mangalore which is an internationally acclaimed centre of excellence for Medical Education. His passion for Minimal Access Gastrointestinal Surgery took him to some of the best centres in the world for training. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College Surgeons of England and Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons.
After completing his training at Mount Sinai Medical School, New York, USA and Bagatelle Hospital, Bordeaux, France; he started practice in Laparoscopic Gastroenterology Onco Bariatric and Advance Minimal Access Surgery in India.
After working for 12 years in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, he joined Artemis Health Institute, Gurgaon as Head-Surgical Specialties and developed Department of Minimal Access, Bariatric and GI Onco Surgery.
Currently, he is the Senior Director & HOD, Surgical Gastroenterology, Advance Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi. He is associated with various National and International Societies of GI Oncology and Bariatric Surgery. He has been invited as a teaching faculty from all over the world for guest lectures and live-operative workshops on Laparoscopic GI Cancer and Bariatric Surgery. He has authored numerous books and articles published extensively in national and international journals. He was awarded Membership by International Excellence Federation for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.
